Two early shots of the calipers that were first used on the Gurney T/A Cudas. These are also represented on the FIA Group 2 homologation forms (FIA #5337). They are of the floating type, which is rather unusual in racing.
The front calipers have two 2" pistons and the rear calipers have two 1.25" pistons. According to Bob at RandyAyers, Bud Moore used the same brakes on his T/A Boss Mustangs.
So far, I have no idea if these were specially made for Gurney and Moore or if they are modified street going calipers, like from a Lincoln or a T-Bird. If you have an idea, do post it here!
